The laws
of Karma are binding and unforgiving. You do something
bad, and the Karmic
law will send it back to you. Do something good, and good
will come back. Instant karma would be nice, so that we'd know
first hand that the karma has passed, but in reality most often
the karmic debt is
paid without any appreciation of the participants. Even
the debtor rarely knows his debt is
fulfilled.
It is said that a bad karmic debtcan
be avoided by forgiveness from the original victim. To an extent
this is true, however karma might still require further
repayment of deed before all is balanced. This is because of the
Law of Three. A victim's forgiveness negates one third of
the debt only.
Because Life is all about Learning and Participation, the three
parts of the debt are
owed to the victim, the Self, and the Universe.
In the case of bad Karma,
all three parts must be reconciled for true release.
The first part is the debt to
the victim. If the victim forgives the source, very little debt might
remain. However...
The second part, the debt to
the Self, can be the toughest to absolve. In Truth, every
bad karmic action
has 3 victims: the primary, the perpetrator, and the Universe. If
the perpetrator has not learned how to reconcile his debt to
himself and the Universe, it remains his burden through guilt even
if his victim has forgiven him.
The third part, the debt to
the Universe, is the toughest to fix since it can affect so many. Every
bad karmic action
resonates beyond the victim. The sphere of influence that
the victim touched or touches is always effected by the principal
action itself. Sometimes to a slight, unperceivable degree, and
then sometimes even more so than with the action the victim had
endured. In a worst case scenario: a person is murdered,
and in the afterlife he forgives his murderer. The Act itself was
swift and painless, and his Soul chooses to move on without blaming.
The survivors of the deceased however are impacted tremendously,
and their lives are now forever changed. This is the part
of the Universal debt. The
survivors in family, the co-workers, the bus driver that the deceased
had smiled to every morning, the transient that received a free
meal by this persons hand. The Universe is affected by their
loss that they felt, and the perpetrator must reconcile that debt.
Just my opinion....
